Thanks Jacqui PI worked with Jacqui P. on a kitchen design project, I had already had layout design with Wrens but was struggling to decide on colours - tiles, backsplash etc. I had the free consultation with Jacqui P. where she took me through the offers and helped me decide what was best for me, I ended up doing room Styling. Jacqui was super responsive to my needs and wants as I already had some elements like wallpaper I was sold on, helped me visualise the room to be bale to make a decision and feel more confident with the bolder choices. Looking forward to the project being completed now so I can share the result. Exactly the back up I needed to go forward. She was also very good at following up with me when life got busy to make sure the project keep moving which I appreciated. Date of experience: 09 June 2025

A Dream Makeover Thanks to Lindsey and Jess.I absolutely love this company. Lindsey Griffen worked with me to transform my living and dining rooms, and she was absolutely amazing. With just a couple of online chats and a few pictures of the style I liked, she created the perfect look for both spaces.I had a general idea of what I wanted, but I could never have achieved this result without Lindsey. The rooms are nearly finished now and look beautiful—exactly what I had hoped for—and I genuinely love spending time in them.Jess has also been brilliant, managing all the ordering and deliveries. She made sure items arrived at the right time, so I wasn’t overwhelmed with boxes while decorating was still underway. Lindsey sourced everything, and all I had to do was click a button on the website—Jess took care of the rest.I would highly recommend this company.Date of experience: 26 March 2025

Sophistication interior designJulie was calm, listened really well around my inspiration, and particular needs (e.g. back support on a sofa). Any adaptations were met with ease, and re-interpreted until we got it right. The the ability to work with the clients inspiration/attention on elements was great. The final product for me meets all the requirements I need. They also offered a range of alternatives so I have choice. Time wise expectations were managed, so we worked well and delivered within the period. Date of experience: 07 July 2025

Themes and Atmospheres

*Shakes magic designer 8 ball*

It looks like warm earthy tones like greens, browns and natural materials will be the trend in the new year. Our magical designers believe that, due to the increase in the digital age, people are longing to be with nature more and seeking a warmer, homely atmosphere.

“Earthy colours will become the new go-to palette. Shades of browns will be back, and we’re so here for it!”  Shop the look here

“Warm, earthy colour palettes – ocheres, rusts, terracottas, olive greens, deep plums and muddy blues”

Why?

“They’re timeless, relaxing, restorative and pair well with plants!”

Furniture

And this isn’t just going to be represented by the colour scheme. Our team predicts that furniture with soft edges, rounded curves and sculptural aspects will dominate 2026.

“Sculptural furniture and curves – soft edges and organic silhouettes are making a big comeback. Think rounded sofas, arched mirrors and sculptural seating”

Image Credit: My Bespoke RoomShop the look

Why?

“This particular style psychologically signals stability, warmth, and belonging. They create the opposite of ‘digital coldness’.”

“Curved pieces (modular sofas, rounded pouffes, sculptural chairs) adapt better to changing room layouts, this is important in homes where spaces serve multiple roles ie. living room/office/dining room.”

Because of these working-from-home set ups, we get to make the most of our kitchens. A home cooked meal > a Tesco meal deal for lunch, any day. Our team predicts our clients to have more focus on this room in particular, adopting a “soft kitchen” trend.

“The soft kitchen trend is exactly as it sounds – softer edges, warmer tones (chocolate, rust, petrol blues, olive greens etc) cosy decor and lots of layered textiles to soften the space.”

And most importantly, becoming a sustainable household has become an important aspect of a lot of people’s everyday living. Mass produced styles are not the preference anymore and being mindful of the materials used allows people to become more intentional when shopping their style.

“More eco-friendly fabrics and a nod towards sustainability. A love of plants in every room is real and faux. More organic shapes in furniture/ seating and lighting.”

Why?

“I believe people are drawn to more sustainable ways of living. It’s a drawback to nature. It feels safe, honest and cosy.”

Character

Finally, the key here is character. A lot of modern looks are starting to see a lack of such. Although this piece is about trends, the trend itself may be to add a bit more of you to your home.

“I think this trend will take off because people are really craving homes that feel more personal and thoughtful, with pieces that have a bit of story and intention behind them.”

What will be THE colour for 2026

Image Credit: My Bespoke RoomShop the look

Hush hush, it’s all about quiet luxury. The once overlooked “plain” colour brown is now predicted to have its well deserved moment in 2026. Think of moody browns like espresso and chocolate and Paired with calming accents and shades of greens, deep purples and even a splash of orange are bringing this new colour for interiors to life.

Any other trends we should keep an eye on?

Colour

“Bold & smooth shades for the coloured confident ones.”

There is nothing that screams confidence more than a bold colour choice – and we love it! Since the trend is becoming more about your personal style and adding character to your home, you may see a lot more colour in interior design aspirations (finally!) and even on our projects page.

Modular & Adaptive Lighting

It’s all about the mood lighting. Harsh whites are out, yellow lights are in. The homely earthy colour scheme needs pairing with a stunning warm light.

“We are seeing a shift in lighting trends. We are moving away from industrial styles, to using warm white LEDs for a calming atmosphere”

Image credit: My Bespoke RoomShop the look

There are many different ways to achieve this particular lighting vibe. Look for ways in which you can incorporate multiple elements, mixing standing lampshades with smaller ones in different areas of the room. In this new digital age, your ceiling can also adopt a “modular system” (individual interchangeable fixtures) where you can add smart lights, with different mood settings, connected to your phone or an app.

Make the use of natural materials like linen and wood, and create layered, ambient lighting rather than relying on a single “big light”.

“Lighting is becoming playful and highly customisable: modular systems, mix-and-match shades, adaptable forms that shift with mood.”

If you’re still missing that bit of character, we have crafted our favourite lights from Pooky here.

“People are opting for architectural or statement fixtures that act as art pieces.”

Flexible, Multifunctional Spaces

Due to working-from-home becoming a predominant preference nowadays, adaptable furniture is a more desirable option, especially when rooms are used for more than one purpose.

Image credit: My Bespoke RoomShop the look

As work-from-home and hybrid living continue, we are seeing a lot more need for multipurpose furniture in rooms. In particular the spare bedroom may co-exist as the home office. There is also high demand in optimising space, to be strategic with the layout of the rooms but in a way that works well with the aesthetic.

“Homes are being designed for flexibility: modular shelving, fold-out desks, multipurpose furniture.”

“Zoning & built-ins are used to optimise space: storage, seating, display, utility functions built into cohesive walls.”

What trends are on their way out?

Sorry millennial grey (and any millennials offended by this) you’re not the it girl anymore. We are starting to see a shift away from the “clean minimalistic” aesthetic and as more clients are requesting a vibrant or homely atmosphere. But this chic aesthetic always have a place in our hearts.

Cool greys, harsh whites and colder palettes may be the trend of the past in the upcoming year. This also includes neutral schemes. But don’t fret, as neutral and plain walls still have their purpose. Discover how you can use them effectively around your home here

Our team also has a vision that “matchy-matchy” furniture will be in decline. This is because we have seen an increase in people mixing pieces of furniture seeking a sense of individualism with their selected pieces.

“People start mixing pieces for a more relaxed, personal and collected-over-time feel.”

Tips!

Yes these are the trends, but how do we implement them?

Again, trends can come and go. If your keen to to try out this new aesthetic, we’ve collected some tips for you! Remember, this is your house after all and the way you express yourself is something unique that can’t be replicated.

Image credit: My Bespoke RoomShop the look

With colour, start small. Use these trending colours in subtle ways such as accessories or accents to dip your toe into the new style craze. Accent walls ie. half and half, is a great way to avoid the regret of painting the entire room a new shade. Then add some cushions, blankets, artworks or rugs to mix in these trending tones.

Tip: To avoid trend regret, pair one statement colour with a grounded palette (cream, oat, olive, muted black).

As for the furniture, you don’t need a huge curved sofa to embrace the sculptural trend. Try a rounded ottoman or pouffe. Even curvy mirrors (arch or pill-shaped) or round coffee/side tables can fit into this trend perfectly, without over-powering the room.

If you have an all neutral scheme, you can swap out the current armchairs for curved, softer accent chairs in a deep olive green for example.

Tip: Curves look best when balanced with straight lines and aim for a 70/30 mix (straight/curved).

For lighting, changing cool light bulbs to warmer tones is a simple fix and will soften everything up. If possible add pendant lighting in natural fabrics like rattan.

Tip: Swap the ceiling light for a more organic linen feature shade & go bold on the wall art making sure it’s large format for the maximum impact….& don’t forget the plants to add height and a biophilic vibe!

Our most common questions (and answers!)

Are wooden slat wall panels still on trend?

Image Credit: My Bespoke RoomShop the look

Absolutely – and we LOVE this design. Did you catch us on Channel 4 on Jasmine Harman’s Renovation in the Sun? In John’s basement, he loved this look and wanted to incorporate it within the room, with the panelling also going across the ceiling. He also added layered lighting. It is such a simple yet effective way to add a bit of character to a plain wall and adopt a subtle warm effect that pulls the room together. Shop the look here.

Can I use some of my current pieces in the design?

Image Credit: My Bespoke RoomShop the look

Yes! We love finding ways to make your favourite items shine in your new design. This recent design dilemma might help figure out how we can make it work. By thoughtfully blending your older, well-loved pieces with more trend-led elements, we can modernise the space while still honouring what makes it uniquely yours.

Mixing vintage character with fresh details adds depth, personality, and a sense of story that purely trendy spaces often lack. It’s the perfect balance -updated and current, but still filled with pieces that reflect who you are.

How do I give my home a more homely/cosy atmosphere?

Image Credit: My Bespoke RoomShop the look

You can make your home feel warm and honest by choosing colors and lighting that naturally create a cosy atmosphere. Warm-toned paints, soft amber lamps, and layered lighting instantly soften a space, while materials like warm woods, textured fabrics, and brass accents add depth and comfort. By mixing these elements, your home feels welcoming, lived-in, and full of genuine warmth without trying too hard. Discover our living room tips here.
