Number 10 on our list of top room makeovers is this incredible kitchen-diner for Nicola, and what a transformation it is! We turned this space from full-on renovation to a space that feels effortlessly stylish and totally liveable, this is exactly where our designers shine – helping you see the vision when everything feels a bit chaotic.
The deep green cabinetry was a game-changer. It instantly adds depth and personality, while still feeling timeless and easy to live with. Paired with black and brass accents, the whole kitchen has that perfect balance of modern and warm – practical for everyday family life, but with plenty of wow-factor too.
Our designers thought everything through, from the layout to the finishing touches, creating a space that not only looks beautiful but works effortlessly day to day.

9. Personality-packed primary bedroom
Number 9 is this incredible bedroom transformation for BAFTA award winning client Gbemisola Ikumelo, and what a glow-up it is. From a big but slightly awkward loft space to a room that feels warm, vibrant and completely unique.
The layout was the first win here. With sloped ceilings to work around, the design team rethought the bed placement to make the most of the space (and avoid any head bumps ), while still keeping everything feeling open and airy.
But let’s be honest, the wallpaper is the moment. Inspired by bold West African prints, it brings so much energy and personality into the room. What started as a feature wall quickly turned into something bigger, wrapping the space in pattern and making it feel totally one-of-a-kind.
To balance it all out, the rest of the room has been kept light, layered with natural textures, soft tones and greenery to stop things feeling overwhelming.
And that mustard bed? The perfect contrast with rich, warm and just the right amount of statement.

We love how this living room proves that you don’t need to splash out on all new furniture to create a truly wow-worthy transformation. By reworking Amanda’s existing sofas, our designers created a space that feels completely refreshed, effortlessly blending the old with the new.
At first glance, the room had everything going for it, beautiful light and plenty of space. But as is often the case with larger rooms, it lacked that all-important cosy factor. This is where our designers worked their magic: starting with the layout. By pulling the seating in towards the centre and grounding it with a vintage rug and statement ceiling light, the whole space suddenly felt more connected, sociable and inviting (no more conversations shouted across the room!).
From there, it’s all about layering. Sideboards and tables were added around the edges, styled with sculptural lamps to bring in that soft, ambient glow that instantly makes a room feel warm and relaxed.
Amanda wanted to keep things neutral, but this is a perfect example of how neutrals can still feel rich and full of life. Subtle hints of sage green and earthy pink have been woven through the soft furnishings and artwork, while natural textures, like wood and greenery, add depth and warmth.

7. A vibrantly brilliant open plan kitchen
Next up, an open plan kitchen transformation so good you wouldn’t believe it was the same home! Number 7 is this bold and beautifully reimagined kitchen for Gbemisola, and it’s proof you don’t always need a full rip-out to make a huge impact.
What was once a fairly cold, grey space has been completely warmed up and brought to life. The game-changer? Painting the existing cabinetry in a soft, muted green and pairing it with a contrasting blush-toned island. It instantly lifts the whole space and gives it that playful, personality-filled feel without going over the top.
Then come those bar stools: jewel-toned, full of character, and the perfect finishing touch that ties the whole palette together.
But it’s not just about looks. This space had its challenges (hello awkward pillar), and this is where great design really shows its value. Instead of fighting the layout, the team worked with it, using it to zone off the open space, making it the perfect spot to add a lounging and dining setup that keeps everything flowing while still making room for hosting.
Layer in the herringbone flooring, warm wood tones and all that greenery, and suddenly the whole space feels connected, lived-in and ready for anything, from busy mornings to dinner parties.

6. A formal, white lounge with elegant gold touches

Our followers really do love Victorian home before and afters! In the number 6 spot is this sophisticated living room which is situated in a stunning period property.
This lounge is the total definition of ‘calm’ with the clean, fresh walls that are complimented by plenty of layered, cosy textures through the throws, cushions and rugs.
The interior designer on this project modernised the living room by reducing the wooden elements and just letting the floor do the talking. Plus, by refreshing the walls, doors and shelving with a fresh, white hue the whole space is made to look larger, more cohesive and totally incredible.

5. Gbemisola boldly beautiful maximilist living room

Taking our number 5 is this seriously stunning living room, designed for client Gbemisola. This is just one of those spaces you can’t keep your eyes off (and yes, you’ll definitely want to check out the full house tour).
What started as a fairly plain, lifeless room has been completely transformed into a rich, cosy and slightly theatrical retreat. The deep green colour drenching, taken all the way from skirting boards up to the coving, instantly wraps the room in warmth giving that cocooning feel.
The raspberry sofa is the hero piece, and it absolutely delivers! It anchors the space with confidence, adding a bold hit of colour that feels perfectly balanced.
The alcove shelving is another standout feature, styled beautifully with books, plants and carefully chosen decor. It adds personality and depth, making the space feel lived-in and layered. And speaking of plants… they’re everywhere (in the best way). From the fireplace to the corners of the room, the greenery brings texture, softness and life to every angle.

Then, of course, there’s the ceiling. Instead of competing with lots of wall art, the design team went all in, turning it into the ultimate statement piece. It draws your eye up, adds drama and gives the whole room that unforgettable wow moment.
Finished off with that perfectly placed hanging egg chair by the fireplace (arguably the best seat in the house), this space is bold, immersive and full of personality.
4. Victorian hallway with classic, brass features
A lick of paint can really make a world of difference and it’s proven here in this warm hallway; the half-painted grey wall amazingly exaggerates the dado rail, plus, by painting the balustrade black, it stands out, becoming a beautiful focal point.
If you’re a lucky owner of a stunning period property, using paint is one of the best ways to breathe new life into the original features and make them noticeable.
The rest of the colour palette was kept fresh and light to really give the period features a chance to shine.
A stunning, large mirror also made a real impact. By placing mirrors in small or narrow spaces, the room is made to feel much bigger as light is bounced around the space.

It’s no wonder this bedroom has made it into the top 3 of our list of favourite room makeovers, as the previously dull, white room has been totally transformed into a relaxing retreat.
There are so many beautiful elements in this design, from the blue artwork which is perfectly paired with the wardrobes, pillows and ottoman to the soft pink hues that just ooze comfort.
But, the star of the show in this home before and after is the amount of storage that simply blends into the space. Sometimes storage can be an eyesore, but the designer on this project cleverly chose to paint the wardrobes the same colour as the back wall to make them almost invisible.
The elegant gold lamps pair perfectly with the wardrobe handles to contribute further to the sophisticated look of the room, and by attaching them to the wall, space was saved on the bedside tables, making the tables look clutter-free.

2. Stylish, green tiled bathroom with gold finishes

Just missing the top spot, is this wow-worthy bathroom that feels like stepping into a spa.
From dingy to dazzling, this bathroom has experienced an unbelievable makeover from the My Bespoke Room team, you wouldn’t of even believed they were the same room!
Green is totally the new black and our clients are requesting it more and more for their own homes. The subway tiles were stacked horizontally to create a more modern look and they just sit beautifully against the gold hardware.
With the addition of the light and subtle terrazzo tiles on the floor and the side of the bath, the space is made to feel so much brighter than the before.

1. Bold blue and tropical cloakroom bathroom

Finally, in number 1 spot of our favourite home transformations is this cloakroom of absolute dreams. Nicknamed by the family as ‘The Jungle’, it truly is a fun and creative space.
As interior designers, we believe there is nothing better than going BIG in small spaces. Cloakrooms are such a great opportunity to push clients to try something new and experiment with colours and patterns.
It can be tempting to paint a small space like this a bright white shade, but trust us when we say that it won’t do the room any favours!
Going for a bolder colour choice or an exciting wallpaper makes a room so much more memorable, and we’re 100% sure that it’s the talking point of the house.
We love this home before and after so much because it’s such a dramatic (but well needed) style change. The bold blue half-wall pairs so perfectly with the blue tones in the wallpaper and the gold hardware just pulls the entire room together. We won’t be forgetting this bathroom design any time soon!
