- Instead of pushing all the furniture against the walls to create more floor space (a common mistake that can actually make a room feel more closed in), we suggested pulling key pieces slightly away from the walls. By moving the sofa a few inches forward and repositioning the armchairs more centrally, we created a more inviting, open layout.
- Using a large area rug to anchor the seating area, creating a more cohesive and less chaotic feel.
- Instead of defaulting to white (another all too common design faux pas), we recommended a deep green feature wall, which made the space feel larger by adding depth.
