The brief

The result

The seating area is anchored by a charcoal three-seater sofa and a burnt-orange two-seater, balanced with a neutral armchair for a softer contrast. Navy and orange cushions, patterned textiles, and a marble-topped coffee table add layers of colour and texture, while a slim brass floor lamp introduces a lighter, more elegant detail.

Existing shelving is incorporated into a stronger navy built-in feature, with additional shelving above creating more visual impact when entering the room. The TV is positioned above the fireplace for clear sightlines from the seating, while compact lighting within the joinery, a gallery wall, and a central pendant help reinforce the room's relaxed mid-century character.
