Tara's Stunning Entrance
Designer's Edit
This stunning entrance hallway showcases an elegant combination of functionality and style. The walls are adorned with soft, neutral paneling, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. A well-placed arch floor mirror reflects light, enhancing the sense of space.
To the side, a solid recycled teak bench provides a practical seating option, complemented by the warm tones of a beautiful olive tree in a white pot, adding a touch of nature.
Framed art prints hang gracefully on the wall, introducing visual interest and character, while a slim brass picture light draws attention to these artistic touches. The lighting is further enhanced by an antique brass pendant light, providing a cozy glow.
The floor features herringbone patterns, lending sophistication to the space, complemented by a multicolored rug that ties the area together. A knitted tassel throw adds softness, perfect for cooler days.
The whole design is accentuated by stylish details, such as a black metal and brass wall light, which adds a modern edge, and a luxurious knit throw, ideal for adding warmth. Decorative storage is provided by a natural fiber basket, blending practicality with elegance.
Overall, this entrance hallway is a seamless blend of modern design and natural elements, creating a welcoming first impression for anyone entering the home.
Hi Tara!
I’m delighted to share your final room design and product suggestions. Don’t forget to click on the video under your moodboard to watch your virtual design presentation!
Product Suggestions:
If you scroll down from your design you will find your product list with all my recommended items. If you click on "alternatives," you'll find even more options for each category. There’s a favourites button on each product, so feel free to click it! That way, we can chat about your top picks since I’ll be able to see which ones you like best as does your shopper Jess!
I have specified all items based on the dimensions and information you provided in your brief but it’s always worth double checking that you’re happy with the size of larger furniture items/light fittings before placing your order. Also that you have the appropriate delivery access into your property.
Upholstery:
Where possible the shopping support team will organise samples for your upholstered items. It’s really important to check you’re happy with the colour/sample before ordering as colour representation on screens can vary. If you require any additional samples just let them know and they will be happy to help.
For your sofas I've added the loaf sofas in two fabrics, a gorgeous velvet and a stunning linen, both are clever fabrics which are family friendly, wait to receive the samples to compare which you prefer!
Cushion:
Certain retailers supply cushion cover only and it will state this in the title of the item so if you need the inner cushion don't forget to add that to your basket as a separate item. I've added all the inner cushions you'll need in the finishing touches.
Paint:
I have included some great paint colour suggestions for your room design with handy links so you can order any samples you want and then your chosen paint directly from the retailer when you are ready. It’s always best to use the retailer's paint calculator, or your decorator's estimate for paint quantity.
If there are any Coat paint colours you love you can use this exclusive discount code to save 20% on any paint purchased directly with Coat CCMBR20
Plants:
I have included a great selection of faux plants and stems for your room. You can purchase them through our shopping service if you wish or you can use this as a style guide and source them from a local garden centre for a real touch.
Art:
I have suggested some great pieces of artwork that I believe will pull together your scheme beautifully. However, art is such a personal choice, so do feel free to use these options as a guide if the pieces I’ve suggested don’t quite hit the mark!
For your pendant:
As a rule of thumb to determine how high to install them, the bottom of the shade needs to be installed at 180cm from Finished floor, placed above your stairwell.
For your Wall and Picture Lights:
You could use wall lights instead of the picture lights if you prefer a more general light in the hallway, and frame art pieces or place it above the art piece if you have enough height. The picture light you place above an art piece if you prefer to highlight the piece. I place them in the design with the intention of highlighting certain pieces, but feel free to tweak this to better suit how you're going to use the space on a daily!
Flooring & Tile Inspo:
For the tiles, I added some inspirational options and you can get the samples direct from the retailer by clicking on the handy link and get the free samples directly from them. All the ones I'm suggesting work, but you just need to see which one works best in your space with natural light and especially which one you like best!
I wanted to give you the option of going as much out of your comfort zone as you wanted with this, and I narrowed the options down for you to the ones that will work with the home scheme. I added neutral options and contrasting tiles, the one I used in the visuals is a neutral option, but for a stronger effect you can go for the contrasting ones.
You can contrast between the dark and light tiles, or using just one dark one in the entrance to create a stronger impact.
The three options, all neutral, contrasting mixed colours, or only dark tile, will work stunningly in the room and with the rest of the home as well. You cannot go wrong, have Fun!
You can then use any of these in the utility/boot room.
Budget Notes:
The overall room design has been pulled together with your budget in mind, however I have also dropped in a few special pieces that you may want to invest in, as I believe this could bring an additional wow factor!
Pieces like the Rustic Wooden Dining Table that we are using as centre table which is just stunning. Have a good look through all the alternatives and remember that you can swap things around to balance your budget as you like.
Shop Direct:
There is a small selection of retailers who only deliver directly to the account holder, and therefore we are unable to offer it as part of our shopping service. If you do select anything from these retailers there is a handy link on the product which takes you directly to the retailer site.
The retailers are all the finishings suppliers: Amtico, Otto Tiles, Mandarin Stone, Claybrook Studio and COAT Paints.
Once you’ve had the time to digest the design, please let me know if you have any questions. As a reminder, you have two weeks to come back to me with any questions on the design.
Have fun browsing!
Warm Wishes,
Bea
