Boaz & Katys Master Bedroom
Designer's Edit
This bedroom showcases a serene and inviting atmosphere with a delicate color palette. The walls are adorned in a soft, muted green tone, creating a calming environment. The centerpiece is a neatly made king-sized bed, draped with crisp white bedding and a deep navy bed skirt. A mix of decorative cushions in vibrant teal and patterned designs add a pop of color to the bed. Flanking the bed are intricately designed wooden bedside tables, offering a warm touch that contrasts beautifully with the flooring. Overhead, a natural light ceiling shade brings an organic feel to the space. Complimenting the bedding are stylish accents such as a well-placed arch mirror, reflecting light and creating a sense of depth. A thoughtfully chosen rug, crafted from recycled materials, adds texture and coziness to the floor. Above the bed, framed artwork enhances the aesthetic, featuring serene oceanic hues that harmonize with the overall design. Functional elements like thoughtfully selected lamps provide ambient lighting, ensuring the room feels both functional and stylish.
Hi Boaz & Katy,
I’m delighted to share your final room design and product suggestions. Don’t forget to click on the video under your moodboard to watch your virtual design presentation!
Product Suggestions:
If you scroll down from your design you will find your product list with all my recommended items. If you click on "alternatives," you'll find even more options for each category. There’s a favourites button on each product, so feel free to click it! That way, we can chat about your top picks since I’ll be able to see which ones you like best as does your shopper Jess!
I have specified all items based on the dimensions and information you provided in your brief but it’s always worth double checking that you’re happy with the size of larger furniture items/light fittings before placing your order. Please do double check the length of the bed fits comfortably in the space once your in and accommodate the depth of the wall.
Shelving Above Dressing Table:
I was having a look at different options for shelving and due to the wood on the floor, and the bedside table and dressing being a different wood to the floor, I was worried about introducing a third wood to the space. I think either adding in some wooden shelving and painting this the same as the walls could emphasise the colour drenching look or possibly going for a white shelving to contrast against the wall. The top shelf shown on the 2D visual is 120cm and the bottom shelf on the visual is 80cm however this can be reduced if needed.
Upholstery:
Where possible the shopping support team will organise samples for your upholstered items. It’s really important to check you’re happy with the colour/sample before ordering as colour representation on screens can vary. If you require any additional samples just let them know and they will be happy to help.
Cushion:
Certain retailers supply cushion cover only and it will state this in the title of the item so if you need the inner cushion don't forget to add that to your basket as a separate item.
Paint:
I have been going back and forth with the chosen paint for this room as there were a few options which I think could work! I've narrowed it down to 3 different options as I think it would be great to see the samples in situ, The yard party from Coat I think could make the biggest impact, however some of the online pictures show it a little darker so would be interesting to see how the sample looks in situ. I also when looking through my samples thought Voicenotes from Coat could work even though it is a slightly different colour, it may make the space feel nice and fresh! Again the online images show it quite blue, however my sample doesn't so I wanted to add this in in case you wanted to consider it. Lastly, I think Cromarty from F&B is very similar to the moodboard colour and could definitely work in the space.
I have included some great paint colour suggestions for your room design with handy links so you can order any samples you want and then your chosen paint directly from the retailer when you are ready. It’s always best to use the retailer's paint calculator, or your decorator's estimate for paint quantity.
If there are any Coat paint colours you love you can use this exclusive discount code to save 20% on any paint purchased directly with Coat CCMBR20
Window Dressing:
I think layering up on curtains and blinds in the bedroom is a preferred choice of mine. I think with colour drenching everywhere, the curtain layer could just add a lovely softness to the walls. I've shown a couple of options and I think my preferred was going for the Voile style so that the fabric doesn't impact on the natural light. I've then suggested a fabric for the blinds which compliment the curtain fabric and the wall colour.
Art:
I do think keeping one of the existing prints in here could work leant on the shelving, I have suggested a smaller art print which compliments it which can be layered on top!
Have a good look through all the alternatives and remember you can swap things around to balance your budget as you like.
Sustainability:
Within the items in your shopping list I’ve sourced some pieces from some retailers that offer more sustainably resourced furniture.
Shop Direct:
There is a small selection of retailers who only deliver directly to the account holder, and therefore we are unable to offer it as part of our shopping service. If you do select anything from these retailers there is a handy link on the product which takes you directly to the retailer site.
Once you’ve had the time to digest the design, please let me know if you have any questions. As a reminder, you have two weeks to come back to me with any questions on the design.
Many thanks,
Natalie
