Bhav's Coastal inspired Open Plan Living Area
Designers Edit
The open-plan living area is designed with a coastal theme, featuring a neutral palette enhanced by soft hues that evoke the serenity of the seaside. The plush LHF chaise sofa, upholstered in stoneware easy cotton, is adorned with an assortment of cushions in varying shades of blue and beige, inviting relaxation. Positioned centrally is a round coffee table with a wooden top and slim black metal legs, offering a perfect spot for both style and functionality.
An elegant area rug, woven from fine materials, anchors the seating arrangement while radiating a harmonious blend of colors. The backdrop showcases a large framed canvas depicting serene oceanic views, further amplifying the coastal vibe.
Complementary furniture, like a light wood side table and a sleek ceramic table lamp, adds to the room’s overall charm. Rich textures are added with a herringbone throw, draped casually over the arm of the sofa, and the inclusion of a floor lamp with a natural shade.
Incorporating dining elements, the area features an extendable oval dining table crafted from oak veneer, paired with stylish dining chairs, facilitating both intimate meals and entertaining larger gatherings. Transitional designs are evident in the clean, modern lines of the furniture, creating a seamless flow from lounging to dining spaces.
Hi Bhav,
I’m delighted to share your final room design and product suggestions. Don’t forget to click on the video under your moodboard to watch your virtual design presentation!
Product Suggestions: If you scroll down from your design you will find your product list with all my recommended items. If you click on "alternatives," you'll find even more options for each category. There’s a favourites button on each product, so feel free to click it! That way, we can chat about your top picks since I’ll be able to see which ones you like best as does your shopper Jess!
Shopping Credit: As you look through your list, you’ll notice your built-in exclusive discounts already applied. Don’t forget - you also have shopping credits! For every £1,000 you spend, £50 (to a total of £100 credit per full room design) will be automatically taken off at checkout. Everyone loves a little extra saving!
I have specified all items based on the dimensions and information you provided in your brief but it’s always worth double-checking that you’re happy with the size of larger furniture items/light fittings before placing your order. Also that you have the appropriate delivery access into your property.
Upholstery: Where possible the shopping support team will organise samples for your upholstered items. It’s really important to check you’re happy with the colour/sample before ordering as colour representation on screens can vary. If you require any additional samples just let them know and they will be happy to help.
Art: I have suggested some great pieces of artwork that I believe will pull together your scheme beautifully. However, art is such a personal choice, so do feel free to use these options as a guide if the pieces I’ve suggested don’t quite hit the mark!
Budget Notes: The overall room design has been pulled together with your budget in mind, however I have also dropped in a few special pieces that you may want to invest in, as I believe this could bring an additional wow factor!
Have a good look through all the alternatives and remember you can swap things around to balance your budget as you like.
Shop Direct: There is a small selection of retailers who only deliver directly to the account holder, and therefore we are unable to offer it as part of our shopping service. If you do select anything from these retailers there is a handy link on the product which takes you directly to the retailer site.
Once you’ve had the time to digest the design, please let me know if you have any questions. As a reminder, you have two weeks to come back to me with any questions on the design.
It has been a pleasure working with you on this design. Happy shopping!
Laura
